How to read this table

The third column shows how many units of each currency one unit of your base currency buys. The inverse column shows the opposite — how much of your base currency one unit of the row's currency is worth. Exotic currencies with thin trading volumes (for example, some African and Central Asian currencies) can carry wider real-world spreads than the majors, so expect a bigger gap between this reference rate and what a local exchange house quotes.

If you're comparing an offer from a bank or transfer service, the honest math is: (provider's rate ÷ mid-market rate − 1) × 100. That percentage is the hidden margin you're paying, on top of any stated fee. We explain the mechanics in Mid-Market Rate vs. What You Actually Pay.
